A Galway runner has completed a 1,000-mile (1,600km) challenge as part of a project to empower the homeless

A Galway runner has completed a 1,000-mile (1,600km) challenge as part of a project to empower the homeless. Paul Fallon ran throughout the month of December, including Christmas Day, to raise awareness and funds for his charity, On the Road Again (www.otra.ie).

Mr Fallon finished his run on New Year’s Eve having met Taoiseach Enda Kenny on his route through Co Mayo late last week.
