Some 1,000 jobs are on offer today at a careers fair in Dublin.
The event is part of a Keep Ireland Workingtour by recruitment website Monster.ie and continues at the RDS until this afternoon.
Some 37 employers, including eBay, Yahoo, Siemens, IBM, PayPal, Bank of America, Aldi and Canada Life are taking part in the fair.
"Ireland has been exceptionally hard hit in this downturn and in the face of so many layoffs it can be easy to feel disheartened," said James Mailley of Monster.ie.
"Unemployment is finally easing for the first time in two years and many companies are beginning to hire," he added.
