- 6.45am: Arthur Kinsella calls Sligo Garda Station to report finding a body on Rosses Point beach
- 8am: Pronounced dead at scene by Dr Valerie McGowan
- 8.20am: Body removed to Sligo University Hospital morgue by undertakers

- Autopsy performed by Dr Clive Kilgallen at Sligo University Hospital

- Peter Bergmann is buried in an unmarked grave in Sligo Cemetery
