A FIRST-TIME BUYER’S clinic conjures up visions of weary souls lining up after a hard day’s viewing property to get ointment on their blisters followed by a quick foot rub . The reality is a little more practical. The clinic, being run by Sherry FitzGerald, will provide first-timers with a detailed briefing on trends in the market place.
With first-time buyers dominating the market, estate agents are realising that they need to keep them on side.
The free event will take place in Sherry FitzGerald’s showrooms at 164 Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 next Thursday May 12th from 1pm-1.45pm, and a light lunch will be provided.
According to Marian Finnegan, chief economist with Sherry FitzGerald, “First-time buyers are the most active cohort of the market accounting for 45 per cent of properties traded in the year to date. There is a genuine thirst for knowledge from this sector of the market who are anxious to be as well-informed as possible.”
Finnegan will give an insight into the current property market and what the future holds and Ivan Gaine will give an update on the current market performance from a buyer’s and seller’s perspective and Peter Magee, managing director of the company’s mortgage business, will be on hand to answer t questions surrounding finance.
