I must admit to being somewhat of a Sim fan. It all started with SimCity and went (probably downhill) from there. If there’s a reality element to it, I’ll take a stab at enjoying it. SimCity Deluxe is the latest to cross my path. There are a couple of different ways to approach this game. The first is to get stuck in and build your own city. Customise the terrain, add houses and road networks, and source all the facilities a bustling city needs – within budget. If you’d rather jump into something a little more prepared, you can also choose from several scenarios, including the arrival of the World Games to a city, which brings with it its own security issues, transport needs and other problems. Playing on an iPad is a different experience. Instead of being confined to a smaller screen, you have a larger display, HD graphics and a control system that feel at least slightly improved. Indulge your inner dictator.
