Club Penguin is a popular Disney franchise. Along with the online game, it has expanded to the Nintendo DS and now the family-friendly Wii. Club Penguin: Game Dayis essentially a collection of mini- games created with younger players in mind. You create your own penguin player, join a team and compete to win various challenges, each with a descriptive name (Sumo Smash, Fast Freeze). The emphasis is on team play, so you can have up to four players at once. Completing the challenges successfully will earn you coins, which can also be transferred to a child's online account if your Wii is hooked up via a wireless connection. This is a more-than-passable kids' game, with colourful graphics, rewards- based play and integration with the website, although this last element isn't essential to gameplay.
