Jefferson Smurfit director and recently-appointed RTE chairman, Mr Paddy Wright, has increased his stake in Smurfit after buying 12,917 shares at a cost of €26,806 (£21,111). Mr Wright now holds just under 1.25 million Smurfit shares.

Greencore chief executive, Mr David Dilger, has also been in the market and has bought 10,000 shares for €26,000 (£20,476). Mr Dilger now owns 75,330 Greencore shares.
