Construction at a new Science, Innovation and Technology Centre at Citywest on the outskirts of Dublin has begun. The centre, which is specifically targeting knowledge based firms, was established by the Government which hopes it will be the lynchpin of a major science park for Dublin. The contract for the construction of the £2.5 million facility was awarded to M&P Construction, and the development was designed by James Smyth Architects.
