THE latest wholesale price figures provide further reassurance that inflationary pressures remain subdued. Output prices from the manufacturing sector fell by 0.4 per cent in August from the previous month and were just 0.1 per cent above the same months last year. The CSO figures follow consumer price inflation data which showed that inflation was running at just 1.5 per cent in the middle of last month.
