Notices warning about the activities of four firms operating as investment businesses in the Republic without the required authorisation have been placed in today's newspapers by the Central Bank.

The firms named are: Euro Zone Consulting (Czech Republic); J R Matthey (Canada); Sherman Brothers (Thailand); and United Capital Management Inc (Hong Kong, Philippines, Cayman Islands). The latter is involved in the selling of shares in "eSat Inc".
