Car hire firm Hertz said yesterday it is to expand its European Shared Services centre in Dublin, a move that will lead to the creation of up to 100 jobs.

This will bring total employment at the Swords facility to more than 930 jobs. The centre’s increased capacity will see the transformation of Hertz’s existing Dublin operations to include support elements in human resources, finance, sales, customer care, and handling customer reservations and support services for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The investment is supported by IDA Ireland.
