THE British business world is experiencing a "feel-better" facto as it moves into 1996, according to a survey. More than 500 businesses were asked about their levels of confidence in the first week of the new year in research carried out by TSB Commercial Banking. The survey showed 74 per cent felt their confidence about the economy for the first quarter was at its strongest for 18 months. Some 42 per cent intend to develop their own business, although that figure jumped to 82 per cent for companies in the service sector.
