Exchange rate losses arising from exposure to US denominated loans pushed Tuskar Resources toward a £744,000 loss in the first half of 1999, an increase of almost £600,000 on the same period in 1998, according to the company's interim results. Despite the losses, Tuskar Resources believes the rise in the price of oil combined with its strength and experience in oil-rich Nigeria should generate significant cash flow in 2000.
