Union leaders representing thousands of Barclays bank workers in Britain will meet over the next week to decide whether to call more strikes after a walkout by staff closed High Street branches for a second time yesterday.

The Banking Insurance and Finance Union (BIFU) and UNIFI clashed with Barclays over the effect of yesterday's 24-hour action, called in protest at a new performance-related pay scheme.
