THOSE who think that publishing provincial newspapers is a low profit operation should think again, at least judging by results from the Leinster Leader in Naas.

This newspaper group, whose eponymous flagship title sells over 15,000 copies, had profits of almost a quarter million pounds, up over 25 per cent on the previous year.
