Telecom Eireann has won a £4 million contract spread over the next three years from CIE to provide over 200 payphones at Bus Eireann, Iarnrod Eireann and DART sites around the country.

This is the first time that CIE has put the payphone contract out to tender and Telecom is understood to have outbid other Irish telecoms company such as ITG, TCI and Esat for the contract.
