SOFTWARE COMPANY Citrix systems is to take on 50 more engineers, managers and customer support staff as it expands its Irish operations.

Citrix Systems Ireland currently employs 150 people in technical support at its base in East Wall on the northside of Dublin, where the multinational has the headquarters of its customer technical support and education services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“As our customers embrace virtual and cloud computing as an agile and cost-effective way to deliver desktops and applications to employees, Citrix continues to grow,” said senior director John Kelly.

“Our services business in Europe is also growing rapidly; as such we have immediate career opportunities at all levels from graduate to management for technology professionals who want to advance their career in a fast-paced, customer-focused technical environment.”

The jobs boost comes on the back of 30 jobs created by the company in 2010.
