Ifeelu EX2 earphones

It sounds like it might be an unpleasant experience, but using vibrating earphones could open up a new world of sound. The Ifeelu EX2 earphones use technology described as “bone and air conduction”, which sounds more like torture than a music-delivery method.

The headphones claim to deliver a home-theatre system performance in a miniature format. Its speakers are 2.2 channel, and include “virtual reality” sound effects.

You may not throw away your surround sound just yet, but vibration technology will probably improve on regular earbuds. www.ifeelu.nl

Micro Samsonite, £249.99

It’s not available yet, but in the near future you might see one of these whizzing past as you trudge through the airport. Samsonite and Micro Scooter have come up with a hard, cabin-sized shell case that has a scooter built in. You can use it as a carry bag, rucksack or trolley, transforming it into a scooter through a flip-out kickboard. The end result is you and your carry-on bag can glide around the airport.
