The British government is to have talks with British Airways in an effort to ensure the future of the shuttle between Belfast and London's Heathrow Airport.

Labour's Northern Ireland spokesman Mr Jim Dowd told the Commons yesterday there was concern that the service could be under threat because of conditions attached to BA's proposed alliance with American Airlines.
