INTERNATIONAL brokers are competing to applaud the Irish economy. A while back Morgan Stanley dubbed us "The Celtic Tiger". Now UBS in London, referring to the hi-tech basis of our recent economic growth, has come up with "the NASDAQ economy". Perhaps the Central Bank will use the movement of this over-the-counter US market, populated by growing sectors such as electronics and biotechnology, as a leading indicator of economic growth.
