Statoil Ireland has announced that its wholesale prices for petrol and diesel have been reduced, effective at midnight last night "as a result of movements in international product prices and exchange rates". The reductions mean consumers will pay almost a penny less per litre for leaded and 95-octane unleaded petrol. The recommended diesel price at the pump is reduced by 0.4 pence per litre.
