An initiative to co-ordinate the changeover from pounds to euros in the grocery trade has been launched by the food, drink and tobacco federation of IBEC. The initiative involves a code of practice which aims to ensure the minimum disruption to consumers.

One issue to be dealt with is dual display of prices in stores and requirements in terms of consumer information.
