Prof Seamus Sheehy has retired from the board of AIB. The bank said Prof Sheehy (62), who has been a non-executive director for 11 years, was reducing his workload and his decision to retire followed a review of his academic and business commitments. Prof Sheehy is professor of agricultural economics at University College Dublin.
