The Small Firms Association has called on the Government to review the operation of the Central Statistics Office, claiming that it puts an unworkable burden on small businesses.

SFA director Mr Brendan Butler said the existing arrangements are costly, time consuming and represent maladministration by the Government. "Some small companies can receive up to 25 separate forms from the CSO in a single year," according to Mr Butler. He called on the Government to radically overhaul this system.
