The cash-in-transit dispute, which threatened deliveries to ATMs, banks and business today, has been called off. SIPTU members are to ballot on pay increases ranging from £1.50 to £2.60 an hour. The secretary of SIPTU's security branch, Mr Kevin McMahon, said yesterday that his members were deferring industrial action to ballot on the offers. The union is recommending acceptance of the increases.
