New chairman of CER named

Dermot Nolan has been confirmed as chairman of the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER)

Dermot Nolan has been confirmed as chairman of the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER). He replaces Michael Tuffy who has held the position since October 2008.

Dr Nolan, who holds a PhD from Yale University, has held senior positions at the Competition Authority and ComReg. He has been a commissioner at the Commission for Energy Regulation since 2008.
