E.J. RILEY, the British based snooker and billiards products group, has acquired the business and assets of Abbey Billiards, which operates from premises at Marlborough Street, Dublin, for an undisclosed consideration. Mr Jim McKenzie, Riley's managing director, said Riley will develop Abbey's business by extending the Riley range of products for sale. Abbey employs six people who will be retained, Mr McKenzie said. It is understood to have a turnover of some £500,000. The Abbey name is to be changed to E.J. Riley (Ireland).
