A Cork-based company with debts of almost £200,000 in unpaid PAYE, PRSI, corporation tax and interest was wound up by the High Court yesterday on the application of the Revenue Commissioners.

Mr Justice O'Sullivan was told that Coolmore Kitchens Limited, with a registered office at Douglas West, Cork, had been struck off the register of companies in 1992.

In an affidavit, Mr Liam Irwin, Collector General, said the company was incorporated in 1985 and was indebted to the Revenue in the sum of £199,829.62 in unpaid PAYE/PRSI and corporation tax and interest.

On February 17th, 1998, the demand was served on the company at its principal place of business at Coolmore, Carrigaline, Co Cork.

Letters were also served on Mr Patrick O'Sullivan, a director of the company, and on Ms Janet O'Sullivan, the secretary of the company and also a director. No payment had been received.

Counsel for Mr Patrick O'Sullivan said she was not objecting to the winding-up petition.
