The head of Reuters' British operations has acknowledged that it was "possible" that company employees used stolen information from its American rival Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.

In an interview with the US financial daily, Reuters chief executive, Mr Peter Job said he had no specific information that company employees had actually stolen Bloomberg bond and stock data.
