THE value of Irish retail sales rose by 2.5 per cent in March, bringing the annual increase for the year to March to 7 per cent, the Central Statistics Office disclosed yesterday. In February, the value of retail sales fell 0.7 per cent on the month and was 6 per cent on the year. This was revised from provisional estimates of a 0.9 per cent fall and 5.8 per cent rise respectively.
