Celtic International Insurance is to make 25 people redundant following the decision to exit from the commercial insurance business. Hibernian Group will be taking over the business from next February. Celtic, based in Galway, will be "offering severance packages", according to Mr Larry Joyce, general manager. It will now focus on its core business in motor and household insurance. Celtic said it has put arrangements in place whereby Hibernian will offer renewal terms to existing Celtic policyholders.
