Professional job vacancies decreased in number in June compared to May and have now fallen to their lowest level so far this year, according to the latest survey from recruitment agency Premier Group.

The agency’s managing director Brian Murphy said the jobs market was entering the “typically slow summer season” and forecast that the flow of new professional vacancies would be volatile in the months ahead.
