Donegal Creameries announced yesterday that it is carrying out a review of Irish Potato Marketing (IPM) following its purchase of that company's share capital. IPM is involved in sales of potato varieties developed in association with the State agency, Teagasc, but, with its subsidiary, Donegal Potatoes Ltd, is expected to show disappointing results for this year. The two companies together have net assets of £1.65 million, a profit before tax of £460,000, and a £10.3 million sales figure, according to the accounts for 1996.
