Uniphar plc, the pharmaceutical wholesale and agency distribution group, has announced preliminary results to the end of 1997. The community-owned pharmacy group has shown an 18 per cent increase in turnover to £96 million. Pre-tax profits rise almost 50 per cent to £2.075 million.

According to a statement, during the year Uniphar consolidated its Dublin operations in a 90,000 sq ft headquarters at Belgard Road. The company also has a depot in Limerick.

"The integration in Dublin is now complete and the company has the capacity to significantly grow the business at its new facility," it said.
