THE Progressive Democrats have called for a "fundamental reform" of the taxation system, including a reduction in corporation tax. Ms Mary Harney, leader of the party, warned that a lack of a long term strategy on corporation tax could mean loss of major investment. She added that the Progressive Democrats favour cutting the standard rate of tax to 25 per cent over five years.
