Total Produce chairman Carl McCann received a total remuneration package of €621,000 last year, an increase of just over 2.5 per cent on the previous year, the company’s annual report shows.

Of this package, €148,000 was a performance-related award.

Chief executive Rory Byrne also saw his total pay rise from €815,000 in 2008 to €843,000 last year, an increase of 3.4 per cent.

The company’s two non-executive directors also saw their fees increase from €70,000 in 2008 to €72,000 last year.
