Ombudsman set to retire in January

Financial Services Ombudsman Joe Meade will retire when he turns 60 on January 2nd, 2010.

Financial Services Ombudsman Joe Meade will retire when he turns 60 on January 2nd, 2010.

Mr Meade is the country’s first Financial Ombudsman and has held the post since May 2005. He informed the Financial Ombudsman Services Council yesterday of his retirement plans.

The Ombudsman has received over 23,000 complaints since it was established in 2005.
