A new £5.6 million petroleum infrastructure programme has been launched by the Minister for Marine and Natural Resources, Dr Woods. Under the programme, 16 oil companies with exploration licences for the Rockall Trough have come together as part of a research initiative to provide vital information for the Government and for their own use in exploring for oil and gas.
