Brent, the reference North Sea crude oil, lost sharply yesterday in London, falling back through the $13 point on technical trading before rally late in the day to get back over $13.

Brent traded at $13.02 a barrel at the close against $12.84 in the early afternoon on the London Petroleum Exchange, down from $13.05 at opening and $12.99 at close on Tuesday.
