Oil firm directors restricted by court

Two men were restricted by the High Court yesterday from acting as directors of any company for five years

Two men were restricted by the High Court yesterday from acting as directors of any company for five years. This follows the liquidation of Cowan Oils Ltd, which operates as oil distributors at Hackballs

Cross, Dundalk, Co Louth. Its products and vehicles were seized by customs officers.

Mr Henry Crummy, Larkins Road, and Mr Mervin Conlon, Cornonagh, Co

Armagh, were directors of Cowan Oils and are now restricted for five years from acting as company directors or company secretaries.

Mr Denis McDonald BL read an affidavit by Mr Ray Jackson, who was appointed official liquidator in April 1992. With the exception of

£869, he had not been able to trace any assets.
