Nokia Networks and Eircell have announced a contract, worth more than €30 million, to provide a better service across the Eircell mobile phone network. The contract involves the upgrading of Eircell's base station system and will be implemented over the next two years. The contract will create 30 new jobs at Nokia Networks. The contract is part of an enhancement programme being undertaken by Eircell, which involves a monthly investment of €5 million.
