Nokia, the world’s biggest mobile-phone firm, has bought Dopplr, a social network start-up.

Nokia, the world’s biggest mobile-phone firm, has bought Dopplr, a social network start-up .

Nokia has also acquired the Geram and US social networking firms Cellity and Plum Ventures this year.

Responding to rumours about the price paid for Dopplr, Nokia said “financial details are not public but the price was significantly less than the rumoured amount”. – (Bloomberg)
