FOR a run of bad luck it took some beating. A caller to a radio programme this week tugged at the heartstrings with a story of human misery. A deprived upbringing, social isolation, poverty, and a disastrous marriage which produced two children. Putting a brave face on adversity the caller proudly said both went on to become chartered accountants. Is there no justice in this cruel world? Still, it could have been worse. At least no one in the family become a certified member of the noble profession.
