COUNTRY Manor Bricks has expanded into Northern Ireland with the acquisition of the Hanson Brick marketing and distribution network, previously operated by P&L Butterley.

The company plans to invest up to £1.5 million in Northern Ireland over the next three years.Turnover in Hanson Brick is over £4 million a year and sources close to the company put an estimated value of around £1 million on the business.

Country Manor Bricks is part of the MDI group of companies, which has interests in the property and commercial lighting sectors in the Republic.
