THE battle between Premiership football giants Newcastle United and Manchester United may move to a new arena after the Tyneside club was reported to be planning to join its rival on the stock market.

Newcastle would be only the third Premier League club to become a fully listed public company, alongside Manchester United and Tottenham Hot spur.

Entrepreneur Sir John Hall, the club's chairman, is planning to steer the company towards a £160 million sterling flotation.
