A new project worth almost £1 million will see ROM Plastics of Glenamaddy, Co Galway, combine with British Aerospace Airbus to produce high performance plastics and composites, Mr Pat Rabbitte, Minister of State for Commerce, Science and Technology, said yesterday. The material will be manufactured over a two year period, and is designed for use in aerospace applications. Forbairt said the project was the largest ever undertaken by a rotational moulding company in Ireland, and would create seven high technology jobs. ROM Plastics was established in 1984, and employs close to 100 people.
