Heavy demand for some of the leaders - and in particular AIB and CRH - drove the Irish market to an all time high in heavy trading yesterday. The ISEQ index rose by almost 1 per cent to 2883.15. It also drew support from further gains on Wall Street, which rose strongly to finish up 83 points, a gain of more than 1.2 per cent. The Dow Jones closed at 6823.86.
