The cola wars took new twist today as multi millionaire entrepreneur Mr Richard Branson announced that his Virgin Cola Company had launched a formal complaint with the European Commission about Coca Cola Schweppes Beverages.

Virgin Cola called for an investigation into what it claims is CCSB's abuse of its dominant position in the British drink market.

CCSB is currently involved with a Commission probe into the proposed £700 million sterling sale by Cadbury Schweppes of its 51 per cent stake in the venture to Coca Cola Enterprises, with the findings due in January.
