The Competition Authority has published a new set of information booklets designed to promote greater awareness among the business community and wider public of the necessity to eliminate anti-competitive behaviour and of the benefits of greater competition.

Cartel Watch, a booklet on price fixing, advises the public on the threat posed by cartels and alerts them to the practices which might indicate that a cartel is at work.

The authority has also published booklets dealing with the issue of refusal to supply and an explanatory guide to its licensing of agreements between suppliers and re-sellers.

Copies of all the booklets are available, free from the Competition Authority, Parnell House, 14 Parnell Square, Dublin 1 or by telephoning 01-804 5400.
