New chief for chambers

THE Chambers of Commerce of Ireland has appointed Mr Simon Nugent as its new chief executive

THE Chambers of Commerce of Ireland has appointed Mr Simon Nugent as its new chief executive. Mr Nugent (32), takes over from current chief executive, Mr Paul Skehan, on February 1st, CCI announced yesterday. Mr Skehan is leaving to take up a post as deputy secretary general of Eurochambres, an organisation with 13 million member firms. Mr Nugent has worked with the CCI for the past six years.
